The Eco-Stapler is a staple-less stapler which clips sheets of paper together without the use of metal. It is suggested for use with up to three sheets of paper.
This clever little gadget is smaller than a stapler and safer to use if there are children around. You simply press it together over the corner of the sheets of paper, much as you would with a conventional stapler. Certainly the three sheets of paper recommended is about right as the eco-stapler becomes quite stiff even if those sheets are a thicker paper. You do need to make sure that you press the stapler fully together, but if done so it very cleverly cuts and folds the paper together. I then gave the paper a shake for good measure and they held together no problem.
There are a few advantages of this product in that, not only are you saving the metal of normal staplers, you are also omitting the need to remove the staples for recycling purposes. Even with prolonged use, this simple contraption should also be much more reliable and robust than ordinary staplers and it can be used where staples and paper clips are not permitted.
At around £5 this product is inexpensive, especially when you consider that you don’t need to refill with staples! It came packaged in a small cardboard and plastic container which could be recycled where facilities exist.
