Flashsticks wooden USB drives are literally a flash/pen drive in a piece of wood! The manufacturer uses locally-sourced (from Berkshire) fallen wood which is hollowed out in order to fit the electronics and sanded down before being sealed with beeswax.
These USB drives are a great way of making modern technology more environmentally friendly and the Flashsticks look pretty funky too! Flashsticks have a 2GB storage capacity which is usually more than enough to meet everyday needs. And they do the job! I had no problems transferring files to and from the device or opening files.
Flashsticks also offer a custom design service if you are looking for something even more unique.
At £15 each (plus P&P) these are more expensive than your box-standard USB drive but you are getting a hand-made, unique (as no two sticks are the same) product which is a great way to make hi-tech a bit greener. Flashsticks are also a perfect gift for a techie friend. There’s no packaging as such so no waste in that respect.
