Freedom Organic Dark Lager from the Freedom Brewery is made from a blend of four malts and is certified by the Soil Association and the Vegan Society. It is available in 330ml bottles of 50 litre kegs and has a strength of 4.7% volume.
As a drinker of bitters and ales, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Freedom Organic Dark Lager more akin to these than a traditional lager. It had a full-bodied flavour although was lighter than an ale and very refreshing. I would definitely seek this out in future.
Depending on the volume you buy, this product starts at about 85p per 330ml bottle (based on a case of 24 bottles) or £1.60 if bought in a pack of six. This compares very favourably with other organic beers and lagers. The glass bottles and cardboard boxes are recyclable.
