Freedom Organic Lager from the Freedom Brewery is made from organic hops and malt and is certified by the Soil Association and the Vegan Society. It is available in 330ml bottles or 50 litre kegs and has a strength of 4.8% volume.
I often drink bitters and ales and can be a bit particular about which lagers I like, so I wasn’t sure whether the Freedom Organic Lager would appeal to me or not. I was pleasantly surprised, however, finding it to be very drinkable. It was a refreshing beverage which compared very well with mainstream premium lagers.
Depending on the volume you buy, this product starts at about 85p per 330ml bottle (based on a case of 24 bottles), but is nearer the £1.50 mark if bought in a pack of six. This compares very favourably with other organic beers and lagers. The glass bottles and cardboard boxes are recyclable.
Thanks to Freedom Brewery for sending us a sample of this product.
