The Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate Eggs come in a few different flavours and sizes and we sampled the small (110g) Milk Chocolate Egg and the small Dark 70% Chocolate Egg. They are all Soil Association approved and suitable for vegetarians (but not vegans).
Both of these eggs are made from lovely smooth chocolate and which one appeals the most comes down to personal taste. I generally prefer milk chocolate and this was the case with the Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate Eggs. The milk chocolate had a creamy taste to it whilst the dark 70% chocolate had the intenseness associated with dark chocolates. I would certainly be happy to present these as Easter gifts.
The packaging is FSC cardboard which can be easily recycled, and foil which may be trickier to recycle. Refreshingly there is no plastic. The 180g version of these eggs are available for about £5.99 (the smaller eggs appear to be simply part of gift packs from Green & Black’s) which is not a bad price for an Easter egg especially as these are organic.
Thanks to Green & Black’s for sending us a sample of these products.
