The Green People No Scent Children’s Sun Lotion is made from natural, organic ingredients, is water resistant and is free from parabens and petrochemicals. A lavender version is also available, but this no scent variety is specifically designed for sensitive skin.
I am a bit of a stickler for sun lotion myself and even more so with my toddler so this was a great product to try. As with all sun lotions, we have to trust that the SPF is correct and that it does provide some protection in water, so I took this at face value and looked at how the product performed in other ways.
The Green People No Scent Children’s Sun Lotion is quite a thick cream but nevertheless rubs in easily and has only the very faintest of smells if you sniff hard enough! Children often protest at having sun lotion applied, but this was as easy as any to put on quickly and the thickness of the cream made me feel that I was getting a decent coverage. I tried it on myself as well to establish whether it left a sticky feel and found that it was actually quite pleasant to use. It also didn’t seem to irritate my little one’s eczema.
The 150ml tube was a convenient size and a small 30ml travel size is available. The plastic tube is also advertised as being recyclable. At £13.50 for 150ml this sun lotion might not be cheap, but branded sun lotion in particular can be quite expensive and it is reassuring not to put loads of chemicals on your child’s skin, especially if it is particularly sensitive.
