The Lavera Family Sun Spray SPF15 is a waterproof sun protection product made from natural, and in many cases organic, ingredients.
I have never used a sun protection spray before, always feeling that the fine spray I anticipated would not give me such good coverage as a cream or lotion. Whether this is the case with some products, I can’t say, but the Lavera Family Sun Spray SPF15 was much better than I anticipated in this respect. The spray was easy to use and I felt that I was able to easily use enough product, which was easy to rub into the skin.
The Lavera Family Sun Spray has a lingering but very pleasant smell and, once properly soaked in, didn’t make me feel very sticky. It also states that you can apply and go straight into the sun, unlike many sun protection products which suggest applying 20-30 minutes before going outside.
I can only take it as read that the SPF is as stated, and I certainly didn’t get burned! In this respect, it is therefore much more pleasant to feel that I am not putting lots of chemicals onto my skin. I don’t know that I would use this on young children (but Lavera do offer a higher factor protection for babies and children), but the ease of application would make it great for older children.
At just under £12.50 for 200ml this is not a cheap product, but isn’t so different from many brands in that, and you are benefiting from the use of natural ingredients.
