If you want a quick cup of Tea or Coffee the Tefal Quick Cup Water Dispenser really is a time and energy saving product. It takes the water from cold to hot almost instantly at the push of a button which is great for those all day coffee drinkers.
The Tefal Quick Cup kettle is simple to set up by fitting the filter (one is included with the Tefal Quick Cup) and then filling the reservoir which holds 1.5 litres of water. You press the hot water button and it instantly fills your cup with 200ml of hot water if you need a bit more water to fill your cup you just hold the hot water button down and release when your cup is full.
When we tested the Tefal Quick Cup kettle it took an average of 25 seconds to boil one cup and used 2.85KW of power. On the downside the water is not boiling and therefore not as ideal for tea making it also spits a little although all the water went in the cup. The packaging is recyclable but the box is not made of recycled paper. It is priced at around £50 so not cheap and the cartridges are around £5 and last between 4 to six weeks.
Many thanks to Tefal for sending us a sample of this product to review.

December 2008 - Carol wrote: I have just returned my 4th Tefal Quick Cup kettle in less than 12 mths due to breakdown again. The shop says they have had a 'few' returns, but there isn't one specific failure. Pump failure - 1, Fail to pump water, but pump still working - 2, Fail to heat water - 1. I love the kettle and the idea and will now save my money until another make becomes available.
