The Warm Homes Scheme is aimed at three groups of people. Expectant mothers claiming these benefits also qualify. The second group are householders claiming disability related benefits such as Disability Living Allowance, and the third group are over 60s who claim income or disability related benefits such as Pension Credit or Attendance Allowance. All of these groups are eligible for assistance towards insulating their home, for example towards the installation of loft or cavity wall insulation, draught proofing or energy advice with a grant of up to £850. In addition over 60s eligible for the Warm Homes Scheme grant are also entitled to upgrades or installations of central heating systems with the total value of the grant (including insulation measures) at £4,300.
